CODE OF CONDUCT
This Code of Conduct applies to both trainees at the EVO Wrestling Academy, and the coaches/trainers/guests that are involved in the teaching of the aforementioned trainees. The aim of this Code is to encourage positive behaviours and enable EVO Wrestling Academy to be a safe and inclusive environment. The Code should be read in conjunction with British Wrestling Revolution’s Safeguarding Policies.
Coaches
As an employee or guest at EVO Wrestling Academy, the following standards are expected to be followed without exception. Any breach of this Code will result in disciplinary action.

Treat all people fairly, and with respect.

Remain mindful of the principles of equality and diversity, and ensure that behaviour reflects those principles, regardless of a person’s age, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, nationality, social background or any other protected characteristic.

Ensure conduct does not bring EVO Wrestling Academy into disrepute.

Avoid private social media/text message conversations with trainees, unless wholly and strictly related to training business.

Strictly no inappropriate, suggestive or sexual behaviour with any individual under the age of 18 (including, but not limited to, young people within wrestling).

Keep up to date with mandatory training, including but not limited to: first aid, equality & diversity, safeguarding.

Maintain accurate records of personal qualifications and information, including but not limited to DBS checks (essential prior to taking any training sessions at the academy).

Promote an open and ethical environment in which to learn.

Never knowingly or willingly endanger the safety of those training under me.

Escalate any complaints or concerns to the relevant personnel in a suitable and prompt fashion.

Never engage in sexual relations with any trainee, regardless of their age. This includes both physical situations and suggestive discussions.

Become familiar with British Wrestling Revolution’s policies and procedures.

Use social media responsibly, being aware of the public perception and of any association with EVO Wrestling Academy or British Wrestling Revolution.

Refrain from any behaviour which could be considered bullying or harassment.

Attend hospital with a trainee, if they are injured at a training session and the situation necessitates urgent medical attention
Trainees
As a trainee at EVO Wrestling Academy, the following standards are expected to be followed without exception. Any breach of this Code will result in disciplinary action.

Show respect at all times to coaches, fellow trainees and staff of EVO Wrestling Academy and British Wrestling Revolution.

Remain mindful of the principles of equality and diversity, and ensure that behaviour reflects those principles, regardless of a person’s age, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, nationality, social background or any other protected characteristic.

Ensure conduct does not bring EVO Wrestling Academy into disrepute.

Avoid private social media/text message conversations with trainers/coaches, unless wholly and strictly related to training business.

Strictly no inappropriate, suggestive or sexual behaviour with any individual under the age of 18 (including, but not limited to, young people within wrestling). The ONLY exception to this rule is if BOTH parties are aged 16-18yrs.

Remove all jewellery before a training session

Attend training sessions on time, ready to learn. No chewing gum.

Never lose your temper in training – refrain from violent and impetuous behaviour. The skills learnt during training can cause injury. Always treat fellow trainees with courtesy and exercise control at all times.
